Daniel "Shorty" Lee Henderson, 66, passed peacefully at his home in Antlers, Oklahoma on July 23, 2018. Shorty was born October 2, 1951 in Antlers to Dan and Tenniefaye (Pryor) Henderson.
He married Barbara Latham, his wife of 47 years, on July 2, 1971 in Antlers. Shorty worked as an equipment operator for Western Farmer's Electric Coop for over 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, making candy during the holidays, helping neighbors, friends and family fixing anything broke including cars, houses or anything else they may need help with. Most importantly Shorty loved to spend time with his family and his grandchildren and great grandchildren, they were all his pride and joy.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Dan and Tenniefaye Henderson; brothers: Willie and Webster Henderson.
Shorty is survived by his loving wife Barbara Henderson of the home; children: Chad Henderson of Antlers and Kenya Croff and husband Charlie of Rattan, Oklahoma; brothers: James Henderson, Terry Henderson and Sam Henderson; sisters: Donna McBride, Eulane Mueller, Brenda Henderson and Sherry Morris; grandchildren: Brianna Everett, Bradon Henderson, Caleb Croff, Wesley Henderson, Kristen Harrison and Kaycee Harrison; great grandchildren: Emmarie Calder, Whitley Everett, Adelyn Spies and Ashton McMahill; along with a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday July 26, 2018 at Victory Assembly of God in Rattan, Oklahoma with Brent Franks officiating. Interment will follow at Hall Cemetery in Antlers, Oklahoma.
Family night will be held 6-8 PM Wednesday July 25, 2018 at Living Word Fellowship 215 W. Main in Antlers, Oklahoma.
Funeral services are entrusted with Serenity Funeral Service in Antlers, Oklahoma.
