Davey Joe Moore

Davey Joe Moore, age 56, passed from this life on January 21, 2019. He was born July 28, 1962 in Hugo, Oklahoma to Carl Thomas Moore and Wanda Jo (Philpot) Eskue. Davey married Bobbie Roberts of Antlers on January 22, 2009.

Davey enjoyed playing pool and listening to music. He loved living life to the fullest. He loved his dogs very much and considered them part of his family. He went to grade school and high school in Boswell until he finished the tenth grade. When he thought he had learned enough he started working hauling hay. Davey worked several jobs in Texas and Oklahoma. His last job was working for Rick and Andrew Mack.

He is preceded in death by his father, Carl Moore; and his grandparents: Muriel Moore and James and Isadora Philpot; his uncles: Charles Philpot and Robert Moore; his aunts: Mary Philpot Long and Darlene Philpot Jobe, along with many cousins.  

Davey is survived by: his wife, Bobbie Moore of the home; mother: Wanda Esker and husband Bill Esker of Mead, Oklahoma; daughters: Miranda Moore and Carlena Moore of Denison, Texas; sons: Lee Goodwin of Durant, Oklahoma; step-children: Debra Whisenhunt and Ernest Whisenhunt of Antlers, Oklahoma; brothers: Tony Moore and wife Christina of Antlers, Oklahoma, and Tommy Moore of Texas; sister-in-law: Marcie Sanford Moore of Denison, Texas; 16 grandchildren; nieces: Haley and Belia Nichole Moore of Denison, Texas; nephews:  Hunter and Anthony Moore of Denison, Texas.

Services for Davey will be held Friday, March 22, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Serenity Funeral Service Chapel.
