Donald Eugene Baskin, 76, passed from this life on December 10, 2018 in Paris, Texas. He was born on February 14, 1942 in Spencerville, Oklahoma to Austin and Amy Baskin.
Don married his wife Ruth (Thornburgh) on August 17, 1963 in Hugo, Oklahoma. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and riding his motorcycle. He was a resident of Antlers for 48 years.
Don is preceded in death by his parents: Amy and Austin Baskin; brothers: Dan, Delbert, and J.R. Baskin; sister: Ollie Bea; and his in-laws: John and Bennie Thornburgh.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Baskin, of the home; children: Gary Baskin and wife Shelly of Antlers, Oklahoma, and Sonya Martin and husband Ricky; sister: Dorothy Jackson of Hugo, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Eric Baskin, Brooke Dougherty, Paige and Josh Johnson, and Katie and Shelby Dawes, and Timmy Martin; and great-grandchildren: Londyn, Landyn, Jasper, Jaxon, Austin, and Sadie. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Funeral services for Don will be 11 AM Saturday December 15, 2018 at Serenity Funeral Service in Antlers, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Oddfellows Cemetery.
Family night will be held Friday from 6-8 PM at Serenity Funeral Service in Antlers, Oklahoma.
