Franklin Lee Spalding passed from this life on December 26, 2018 at his home in Antlers, Oklahoma. He was born on August 9, 1950 in Hobbs, New Mexico to Robert Lee Spalding and Margaret Jo (Campbell) Spalding.
On June 4, 1973, in Antlers, Oklahoma, Frank married his wife, Karen Louise Arpealer. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cutting wood, mowing his family members’ yards, gardening, teasing and telling jokes, and spending time with his grandkids. Frank served in the Army, worked for the Oklahoma Department of Corrections for twenty years, the Choctaw Nation for ten years, and was a member of the Antlers community for almost 60 years.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Jo Spalding; his brother: John Spalding; grandson: Tayten Lance Janoe; granddaughter: Sunnie Nicole Spalding; and nieces: Brooke and Becky Trotter.
He is survived by his wife Karen Spalding; son: Darrell Spalding and wife Marion of Antlers; daughters: Heather Janoe and husband Joe of Antlers, and Jennifer Teafatiller and husband John of Antlers; Brother: Robert Spalding and wife Pat of Antlers; sister: Linda Dunn of Hobbs, New Mexico; Aunt: Bobbie Beasley of Antlers; sister in law: Jaquetta Trotter of Antlers; brother in law: Bill Arpealer; and grandchildren: Brady, Garrett, and Allie Janoe, and Shea and Keeley Teafatiller, Tyler Spalding, and Bryar Charles.
Services for Frank will be held Friday, December 28, 2018 at 4:00 PM at Kent Baptist Church. Interment following at Antlers City Cemetery. Services have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Service in Antlers, Oklahoma.
