Herbert Arnold Taylor

Herbert Arnold Taylor, 93, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 9th, 2019 in Ardmore, Oklahoma. He was born December 22nd, 1925 to Edward and Rosalie (Greenwood) Taylor in Antlers, Oklahoma.

Herbert married Anna Lou "Polly" Carroll on December 22nd, 1951 in Clayton,
Oklahoma. He served in the United States Navy during WWII in the Pacific Region. Herbert worked as a parts manager for the Oklahoma State Highway Department for several years, enjoyed ranching, was a member of the Church of Christ and was a resident of Antlers.

He leaves behind his loving children: Joel Taylor and wife Lucretia of Antlers, Oklahoma, and Leah Bell and husband Mark of Lone Grove, Oklahoma; 5 grandchildren: Michael Taylor of Gainesville, Texas, David Taylor and wife Alicia of Choctaw, Oklahoma, Daniel Taylor of Norman, Oklahoma, Rebecca Johnson and husband Ben of Lebanon, Tennessee, Ashley Skow and husband Ben of College Station, Texas; 8 great-grandchildren: Jaxan, Kynlee, and Laikin Taylor, Clara and Owen Skow, Marshall, Wyatt, and Annie Johnson; as well as numerous other relatives and a host of friends.

Herbert is preceded in death by his loving wife: Polly Taylor; parents: Edward and Rosalie Taylor; and 7 brothers and sisters: Mollie Schweining, Miram Taylor, Lillian Taylor, Pauline Kennedy, Edna Lee Lowe, Martin Taylor, and Ernestine Cottrell.

Graveside services will be held 11 AM, September 11th, 2019 at Oddfellows Cemetery in Antlers, Oklahoma with Brent Franks officiating.
