Janice Louise (Boatright) Alexander was born December 6, 1944 to Loyce and Thelma (Herndon) Boatright in Talihina, Oklahoma. She passed away October 22, 2019 at her home in Clayton, Oklahoma at the age of 74.
She married Charles Alexander October 2, 1961 in Antlers, Oklahoma. In her earlier years, Janice and Charles owned Alexander Grocery. She was a cook at Clayton and Eastern Oklahoma State College and served as a dorm mom. She enjoyed raising cows, baling hay, painting, and cooking. Janice was a dedicated Thunder fan. She was a lifelong resident of Clayton and attended church at Stanley Christ Church.
Janice is preceded in death by her husband: Charles Alexander; daughter: Vickie Alexander; son: David Alexander; granddaughter: Joni Alexander; brother: Roger Boatright; and parents: Loyce and Thelma Boatright.
She is survived by her children: Kim Erwin and husband Mark of Nashoba, Oklahoma, and Kevin Alexander and wife Kaye of Clayton, Oklahoma; brothers: Jim Boatright and wife Linda of Clayton, Oklahoma, LD Boatright and wife Agnes of Edmond, Oklahoma, Richard Boatright and wife Pam of Henryetta, Oklahoma; sister: Frances Fuller and husband Gary of Clayton, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Taylor Twaddle and husband Chad of Talihina, Oklahoma, Mitchell Erwin of Nashoba, Oklahoma, Sarah Faudere and husband Shawn of Clayton, Oklahoma, and Samantha Evans of Nashoba, Oklahoma; great-grandchildren: Josie Shelton and Brinn Twaddle of Talihina, Oklahoma, Liam Erwin of Nashoba, Oklahoma, Mason and Sawyer Faudere of Clayton, Oklahoma, Kyle Henry, Gentry Henry and Aubri Alexander of Clayton, Oklahoma, and Gracee and Paizlee Weathers of Nashoba, Oklahoma; along with many other relatives and a host of friends.
Graveside services will be 2PM, Thursday, October 24, 2019, at A. L. Stephens Cemetery. Family night will be held at the Christian Church in Clayton on October 23, 2019 on Wednesday 6-8pm.
