John Eddie McKinney, 84, passed from this life on July 3, 2019 in Antlers, Oklahoma. He was born on May 1, 1935 to James D. McKinney and Birtie Evelyn Roberts Jefferson in Cole, Oklahoma.
John loved playing the piano and looking up his ancestry and genealogy. He enjoyed telling stories about his life and just chatting. John especially loved tending to his garden.
He is preceded in death by his parents: James McKinney and Birtie Evelyn Roberts Jefferson ; brothers: James (Sonny) McKinney, Robert McKinney, and Edward McKinney.
John is survived by his daughters: Pamela McKinney of Kingman, Arizona, and Paula Barton of Yuma, Arizona; brother: Gerald McKinney of Burleson, Texas; and sisters: Jane Mauldin of Crowley, Texas, Margie Campbell of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, and Rhoda Hardage of Hugo, Oklahoma.
Graveside services will be held 1PM, Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at Washington Cemetery in Washington, Oklahoma.
Services have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Service of Antlers, Oklahoma.
