John Rousseau passed from this life on Monday, October 8, 2018 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born December 31, 1949 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Leroy and Grace (Litki) Rousseau.
He was a beloved paramedic for Antlers Fire/EMS for several years. Prior to working for Antlers Fire/EMS he was a volunteer for Kiamichi Wilderness Fire Department. John was a naval veteran who served in the Vietnam War for six years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, logging, and camping. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge of Antlers, Fort Worth Scottish Rite Foundation, Knights Templar of Texas. John was also a police officer for Venus and Alvarado police departments in Texas. He was owner of Alvarado Plumbing and Electric and Alvarado Arms Professional Gun Smith.
John is survived by his daughter: Rebekah Rousseau of Moyers, Oklahoma; sister: Carol Hancock of Alvarado, Texas; and cousins: Wayne Rousseau and Larry Rousseau.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Leroy and Grace Rousseau; sister: Helen Rousseau; and uncle: Van A. Rousseau.
Services will be held Friday, October 12, 2018 at 10 AM in the Serenity Funeral Service Chapel. John will be laid to rest at the Kosoma Cemetery.
