John Talon Jeffery Self

John Talon "Cloudy Kidd" Jeffery Self, age 27, passed from this life November 14, 2019 in Bryan County. He was born November 4, 1992 in McAlester, Oklahoma to Dan Austin Bishop Jr. and Traci Lynn Self.

Talon was a lifelong resident of Cloudy. Some of his hobbies were training horses, hog hunting, penning cows, raising hog dogs, fighting chickens, and saddling up a horse and riding all over the Cloudy Mountains. He loved his family and friends fiercely. Always a cut up and easy smile. He roped and rode bulls in the OYRA.

He is preceded in death by his father: Dan Austin Bishop Jr.; grandparents: Granny Charlotte Bishop, Nanny Blanche Childers, Pappy Carl Childers, and his Grandma Grape Juanita Hinds, Papa RL Hinds, Grandad Earl Self, Granny Julia Self; and aunt: Carla Cope.

Talon leaves behind his mother: Traci Lynn Self of Cloudy, Oklahoma; sister: Trinity Echo Lynn Courtwright and husband Taylor of Cloudy, Oklahoma, brothers: William Calijah Clay Self of Cloudy and Shyrale Bivins of Cuthand, Texas; step-mom: Nikki Bishop of Oklahoma; Cousin: Charlee Cope of Texas step-sisters: Bailey and Cheyenne; Uncle: John Wayne Cope of Texas; niece: Braggin Hayze Lynn that was the love of his life and the only child he will ever have; second mother: Kristi Ferguson; Paternal Grandfather: Dan Bishop of Texas; nana and papa: Johnny and Marcia of Cloudy, Oklahoma; along with many other relatives and a host of friends.

Pallbearers include: Jesse Honeycut, Drew Anderson, Alex Leppel, Tanner Watts, Calijah Self, Toby Dockrey, and Morgan Bailey.

Honorary pallbearers include: Marty White, Justin Jordan, Hadlee and Will Self, Dean Duncan, Jace Lawrence, and Caleb Payne.

Funeral service will be held at the Cloudy Baptist Church in Cloudy, Oklahoma. Wednesday November 20, 2019 at 3pm. Funeral services entrusted to Serenity Funeral Service.
