Loretta Maxine (Adams) Langley

It has pleased our Father in Heaven to summon to Himself Loretta Langley on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at the age of 89 years, 4 months and 12 days.

Services for Loretta M. Langley will be 2 PM Thursday, January 17, 2019 at West Side Baptist Church in Antlers, OK 74523, with Pastor Larry Crawford officiating.

Family night will be held 6-8 PM Wednesday January 16, 2019 at Serenity Funeral Service in Antlers, Oklahoma.

Loretta Maxine Langley was born August 21, 1929 near Mountain View, Oklahoma to Ray & Ethel (Carpenter) Adams. She passed from this life peacefully on January 13, 2019 under the care of Highland Park Health in Okmulgee, Oklahoma.

Loretta married Edd Sherman Langley October 11, 1956 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was baptized at the Sobol, OK Baptist Church and in their later years the couple attended West Side Baptist in Antlers, OK.Loretta was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, Ray and Ethel Adams of Sobol, OK, brother Alfred Adams and wife Margaret of Crosstimbers, MO.

Loretta loved her family and the rural lifestyle. She was a wonderful Mother to three sons, an avid reader, frequent Sonic & Wal Mart customer, news watcher, listener of country music, embroidery person, gardener, and wildlife/bird feeder, observer. This was all aside from her primary role as a champion homemaker, chief accountant, and immaculate housekeeper. Over the years she also performed various part time housekeeping and healthcare assistance jobs.

Loretta is survived by sons: Bob and wife Jeanne of the Woodlands, Texas, Eddy and wife Rachel of Morris, OK, Joe and wife Patti of Hinton, OK; sisters Melva Buchanan of Ft. Towson, OK, Shirley Hobbs and husband Lawrence of Bowie, TX, and Lu Fleming and husband Bill of Newcastle, OK; Grandchildren/Great Children-for Joe/Patti: Brian Langley of Weatherford, OK, and Mary Jo Friday and husband Brandon of Yukon, OK (their son Carson Plank); for Eddy/Rachel-son Tyler Wood, daughters Christine Griffin and husband Joe (children Caleb White, Emma Griffin), Sarah Langley of Norman, OK (son Trevor Jones, daughter Elizabeth Jones); for Bob/Jeanne daughter Katie Langley of St. Louis, MO., as well as many other relatives & friends.

Pallbearers are:Brian Langley, Fredrick Langley, Joe Griffin, Scott Nelson, Mark Myers, and Tyler Wood.

Funeral services are entrusted with Serenity Funeral Service in Antlers, Oklahoma
