Nicholas Evans Obituary

Nicholas Landry Alexander Evans passed from this life June 8, 2019, in Smithville, Oklahoma, at the age of 21. He was born April 20, 1998, in McAlester, Oklahoma, to David and Kimberley Evans.

He enjoyed fishing, four-wheeling and going to the mountains. Nicholas always appreciated a good John Wayne movie and liked to hang out with his friends. In high school Nicholas enjoyed playing baseball, basketball and football. After high school he went on to receive his degree from Oklahoma State University. Nicholas was a lineman for Encore and took pride in his work. Above all else Nicholas had fun aggravating his mom and dad and he loved spending time with his brother, sister and friends.

Nicholas is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Willard and Margaret Evans; maternal grandmother: Wanda Harmon; great grandparents: Warren and Lucille Carper; and great-great grandparents: Carol and Viola Wilkins.

Nicholas is survived by his father: David Evans and wife Sonya of Antlers, Oklahoma; mother: Kimberley Evans of Antlers, Oklahoma; brother: Chris Evans and wife Morgan of Yukon, Oklahoma; sister: Jacqueline Evans of Antlers, Oklahoma; and nephews: Easton Evans, Bryston Evans and Jace Evans, as well as many other relatives and a host of friends.

Pallbearers include: Chris Evans, Colton Ammerer, Landon Alford, Chase Jones, Chris Kibby and Mark Miller.

Honorary Pallbearers include: Bobby Evans, Joe Hobbs, Rodney Evans, Bear Sutton, Eugene Wayman, Alex Ratcliff, James Haywood, Rob Rathji, Ryan Davis, Kyron Linn, Lucas Austin, Jake Vasquez and the Antlers Class of 2016.

Funeral services for Nicholas will be held 3pm Tuesday June 11, 2019 at the Antlers First Baptist Church Antlers. Interment will follow at Antlers City Cemetery.

Family night will be held Monday June 10, 2019 from 6-8 PM at Serenity Funeral Service in Antlers, Oklahoma.
