Orville (Karo) Lee Penick, 76, passed from this life at his home in Antlers, Oklahoma on June 4, 2019. He was born on October 9, 1942 to William Lee Penick and Eunice Mae Adams Penick.
Orville married Dora Jane Sawyer in Durant, Oklahoma on September 19, 1966. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed spending his time farming, ranching, and fishing. Orville was proud to have served his country as Sergeant in the United States Army.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Dora Jane Penick; parents: William and Eunice Penick; brothers: Pete Penick, Roy Penick, Vernon Penick, Cecil Penick, Lewis Penick, Edward Penick, and Terry Jr. Penick; sisters: Lucille Jones, Maybell Smith, Cora Landsdale, Almetta Bicknell, and Bertie Duke.
Orville is survived by his children: Joe Sawyer and wife Michelle of Roland, Oklahoma, Ronald Lee Penick and wife Tonya of Antlers, Oklahoma, and Kathie Penick of Antlers, Oklahoma; sister: Judy Penick of Atoka, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Richard Stigall of Antlers, Oklahoma, Jonathan Penick of Antlers, Oklahoma, Nicholas Penick and wife Amber of Antlers, Oklahoma, Stephanie Merck and husband Nicholas of Antlers, Oklahoma, Chris Rose and wife Kayleen of Muldrow, Oklahoma, Heather Rose of Tamaha, Oklahoma, and Ashley Rose of Muldrow, Oklahoma; great-grandchildren: Ava Rose of Muldrow, Oklahoma, and Leeam Merck of Antlers, Oklahoma.
Graveside services for Orville will be held Monday, June 10 at 11:00 AM at Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma.
