Robert Grose

Robert Leon Grose passed peacefully from this life May 28, 2018, in Antlers, Oklahoma, at the age of 74. He was born March 15, 1944 in Paris, Texas to George and Katherine (Sikes) Grose.


Bob married Jimmie Jo (Armstrong) Grose on October 4, 1976 in Hugo, Oklahoma. He has been a resident of Antlers since 1972, and they continued to make Antlers their home. Bob served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and later retired from the United States Army Reserve, altogether serving his country for thirty years. After retiring from the military, he worked as a radiologist technician for Rowland Flatt Clinic in Antlers for over thirty years. He was also an Antlers Volunteer Firefighter from 1974-1998 and enjoyed serving and helping people in all aspects of life.

Bob is preceded in death by his mother: Katherine Grose; father: George Grose; sisters: Dorothy Louise Grose, Janie Marie Grose Baker, and Mary Elizabeth Grose Titsworth; brothers: Gerald Wayne Grose, Phillip Dale Grose, and George Foster Grose.


He is survived by his wife: Jimmie Jo Grose; daughters: Tami and husband Kevin Moreland of Ft. Knox, Kentucky and Robyn and husband Richie Blevins of Antlers, Oklahoma; sons: Billy Jo Bruce of Antlers, Oklahoma and Tony and wife Kim Bruce of Spencerville, OK; brother: Billy Joe Grose of Paris, Texas; sisters: Betty Jean Williams of Honeygrove, Texas, and Glenda Sue Harris of Reno, Texas; grandsons: Billy Jo Bruce II, Brandin Rex Moreland and Brock Anthony Bruce; granddaughters: Candice Nicole Ertman, Ashley Taylor Bruce, Brittani Marie Moreland, Jade Mckenzie Bruce, and Rilea Ann Jolene Blevins; along with 10 nephews and 12 nieces and many other relatives and a host of friends.


Bob's Funeral Service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, June 2, 2018, at the First Baptist Church in Antlers, Oklahoma.
