Ada Janet James

Ada Janet James, 73, passed from this life in Hugo, Oklahoma on March 15, 2024. Janet was born November 1, 1950 in Broken Bow, Oklahoma to John Harvey and Evelyn Deloris (McNeil) James.

Janet enjoyed doing latch hooks, making pants from wash clothes and giving them away to people. She also loved doing puzzles. Janet became so proficient at putting the puzzles together and would be waiting on the next one. Most of all Janet loved spending time and talking with her brothers Jimmy and Billy also her nephews and their children.

She was preceded in death by her parents John and Evelyn James.

Janet is survived by her brothers: Jimmy James and sweetheart Tanya Smith of Hugo, Oklahoma and Billy James and wife Marilyn of Kempner, Texas; nephews: Billy James of Morgans Point, Texas and Frank James of San Antonio, Texas; great niece: Felicity James; great nephews: Levi James and Lucas James; along with a special friend Angie Smith of Antlers, Oklahoma.

A celebration of life for Janet will be held 10 AM Monday March 18, 2024 at Serenity Funeral Service in Antlers, Oklahoma with Pastor Billy Hunter officiating.

Visitation Sunday March 17, 2024 from 1 to 6 PM at Serenity Funeral Service.

Services are under the direction of Serenity Funeral Service in Antlers, Oklahoma.
