Amber (Blankenship) Manous was born on October 18, 1980 in Dallas, Texas to Jackie Blankenship and Carolyn (Wells) Blankenship. She passed from this life at the age of 40 in Paris, Texas on October 10, 2021. She had been a resident of Southeast Oklahoma for 26 years, and was a member of the Westside Baptist Church.
Amber married Jacky Manous on February 14, 2019. She worked many years at Rainbow Home Health as a caregiver, recently obtained her CNA license, and began work at the Pushmataha Hospital. Amber kept her life busy, between keeping her boys and husband in line, visiting with her sister and friends, and taking care of her clients. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.
Amber is preceded in death by her parents: Carolyn (Wells) Blankenship and Jackie Blankenship; grandparents: Lillien Smith, David Blankenship, Harvey Ray Wells, and Lorraine Lee Martin; and uncle: Lonnie Ray Griggs.
She is survived by her husband: Jacky Manous of Antlers; children: Kyle McBride, Roudey McBride, and Tuff Maynard of Antlers; brothers: Ricky Blankenship and wife Melinda of Sayre, OK, and Rick Parham and wife Amber of Hot Springs, AR; sister: Carolyn Hawley and friend John Standridge of Antlers; and cousins: Johnny Martin and wife Cendy of Crystal, OK, Thomas Davis and wife Denese of Midlothian, TX, Wallace Light of Austin, TX, and Lonnie Griggs of McAlester, OK; as well as numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
Services for Amber will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 2PM at the Serenity Funeral Service Chapel. Following services, a dinner will be held at Westside Baptist Church.
