Annice Maeruth Alcorn, age 65, passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021, at Texoma Healthcare Center in Sherman, TX. She was born May 10,1956 to Oliver and Violet Chapman in Antlers, OK. She was a graduate of Antlers High School. She married Wayne Alcorn on August 27,1988 in Lewisville, TX. They were married for 33 years.
Annice worked many different places in her life. She has worked as a cook, a nanny, a personal assistant, and as a provider for many years. One her of greatest joys was to cook for people, can, sew, or make things for those she loved. She always had a recipe, or two, to share. She loved talking to people, especially family and friends, and she always had kind and caring words for those around her. She impacted numerous people with her kindness, generosity of spirit, and loving ways. She cared for and helped raise several individuals, including many of her nieces, nephews, godchildren, and others and was always up for baby sitting one of her many great or great-great lil ones. Annice was known by several names and often chuckled at that fact when she tried to explain it to others. She was called Annice, Ann, Niecy, and Nina. She was a devout Christian, loved her church family and could often be heard quoting scripture. She always told everyone she met, “Have a blessed day!”
She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, two sisters, two sisters-in-law and numerous family and friends.
She is survived by her loving husband, Wayne; her stepdaughter Michelle Olshovsky, her step-grandchildren Ethan and Jackson, her brother, O.G Chapman; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family members, friends, and “adopted family” who greatly loved and adored her.
Family, friends, and others whose lives Annice touched are invited to the Serenity Funeral Service 145 West Main St. Antlers, OK for funerals services on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at 2pm. Family viewing will be Monday, September 13th from 6pm-8pm at Serenity.
