Austin Wayne Duncan was born on January 3, 1960 in Antlers, Oklahoma to O.V. Leon "Toots" Duncan and Wanda Beatrice (Smith) Duncan. He joined his beloved wife Wanda Jean in Heaven on June 1, 2024. Austin was a lifelong resident of Pushmataha County. Austin married Wanda Jean Ingram on May 9, 1981 in Antlers, Oklahoma.

Austin started working as a teenager alongside his dad and brothers at their family saw mill. They later went into the logging business together. He worked in the log woods until 2001 when he went to work at the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority. In 2005 he transferred to Oklahoma Department of Transportation as a construction/ Maintenance Technician. He proudly retired from ODOT in 2022. He loved and was proud of everything he had done.

He was strong in his Baptist faith and loved discussing the Bible with whoever he could. Austin enjoyed searching for treasures while junking, and was a true music lover. You could always count on him to start a game of name that tune. He loved the outdoors and hunting, but above all else he cherished his time with his children and grandchildren.

Austin is preceded in death by his wife: Wanda Jean Duncan; parents: Leon "Toots" and Wanda B. Duncan; brothers: Leon Duncan and Terry Duncan; sister-in-law: Diane Duncan; and father-in-law: Charles Ingram.

He is survived by his children: Amanda Green and husband Tim of Rattan, OK, Leon Duncan and wife Jennifer of Jumbo, OK, Elizabeth Green and husband Matthew of Rattan, OK, and special niece Jackie Burch and husband Terry of Antlers, OK; brother: Jerry Duncan of Rattan, OK; sisters: Eva Sue Higby of Rattan, OK and Brenda Tomlinson and husband Ronnie of Antlers, OK; sister-in-law: Trummie Duncan of Antlers, OK; grandchildren: Zachary Green and wife Kiera, Tyler Green, Gracie Duncan, Alley Broomfield, Jake Duncan, Matthew Green, Buck Green, Timothy Green, and Nathanael Green; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10AM on Monday, June 10, 2024 at First Baptist Church of Antlers with Tim Green officiating. Interment will follow at Dela Cemetery.
Pallbearers include: Zachary Green, Tyler Green, Buck Green, Timothy Green, Jake Duncan, Matthew Green, Nathanael Green, and Alley Broomfield.

Honorary pallbearers are: Ron Tomlinson, Tim Ingram, Kevin Ingram, Shane Nelson, Kyle Ingram, and Buddy Caswell.
