Barbara Ruth Lovitt was called home on September 22, 2023, in Nashoba, Oklahoma. She was born to Johnnie Cameron and Amna (Wright) Cameron on August 27, 1939, in San Jose, California.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jean Lovitt; her daughters, Debra Lovitt and Lory Lovitt; her great-grandson, Kyle McDowell; her granddaughter, Randi Howard; her father, Johnnie Cameron; her mother, Amna Cameron; and her brother, Sam Cameron.

Her legacy of love, however, lives on with her surviving children: Roy Lovitt and spouse Cindy, Ricky Lovitt of Nashoba, Oklahoma; Linda Kay Howard and spouse Ronny of Dallas, Texas; and Mark Moody and spouse Denise; her numerous grandchildren: Dustimay Howard, Kenny Howard, Misty McDowell, Stephen McDowell, Tonya Williamson, Barbara Denton, Lory Smalling, Charity Lovitt, Liesl Verzal, and Lexi Moody; great grandchildren; Michael Denton, Shaylee Denton, Kevin Christian, Dakota Christian, Harleigh Williamson, Kase Rutherford, Kasen Smalling, Cooper Smalling, Kristen Howard, Cash Howard, Savannah Snead, Serenity Verzal, and Scarlett Verzal; and her great-great-grandchildren: Wyatt and Aurora Denton, Baby Denton on the way, and Remington Christian

Barbara was a dedicated homemaker, whose nurturing and caring extended beyond her family to the farm she loved; she took joy in caring for her cows and her darling dog, Rex. Church was another joy and comfort in her life. Above all, she had a genuine interest in others and found joy in visiting and talking with family, friends, and anyone willing to sit for a conversation.
