Billy Dunlap Obituary
Billy Frank Dunlap was born on August 29, 1977 in Antlers, Oklahoma. He passed from this life on September 4, 2021 in Cartwright, Oklahoma at the age of 44.
Billy loved the lake and taking pictures of a beautiful sunset. He had an eagle eye, could be flying down the highway and see a pair of Oakley sunshades laying in the median and pull over to get them. Billy was a world class moonshiner! A perfectionist to the last detail in his tile work, he could build anything with a little Southern Ingenuity and sweat. Billy loved to live. He fought to be present every day by living his life to the fullest. Billy loved to make people laugh and be the center of attention, because all he wanted was to make everyone around him happy. He was a true country boy who loved to play in the mud. Billy loved to sing karaoke, and would, without a doubt, sing Rose Colored Glasses every single time. He could talk for hours and wanted nothing more than a family and to be a dad.. He absolutely LOVED being a Dad.
Billy is preceded in death by his dad: Frankie Lee Dunlap; grandparents: Harley Dunlap and Ima Jean White, Juanita Hinds and R.L. Hinds, J.D. Taylor and John Sampson; cousin: Joshua Brown; uncles: Tim White and Terry White; and aunt: Debbie White.
He is survived by his fiancé Sarah Bowns and children: Marlee, Liam, and Summer of Denison, TX; mother: Angie (Dunlap) Barnett and husband Bud of Stanton, TX; step mom: Bonnie Dunlap of Antlers, OK; brothers: Chris Dunlap of Stanton, Texas, and Tim Hinds of Archers Lodge, NC; sisters: Cathy Dunlap of Akron, OH, Lisa Dunlap of Midland, TX, Jessica Taylor of Tulsa, OK, Amanda Sutherland of Midland, TX, Shelly Young of Cloudy, OK, and Patty Bell of Cloudy, OK; step brother: Jason Bragg of Antlers, OK step sisters: April Hindman & Melissa Bragg of Antlers, OK grandparents: Jan Taylor of Midland, TX and Virginia Sampson of Whitney, Texas; and special aunt: Melinda Young and husband Leroy of Antlers, OK; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of very good friends.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at 11AM at the Serenity Funeral Service Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Serenity Funeral Service to assist the family with funeral expenses.
