Billy Edwin Payton, 65, passed from this life on July 7, 2022 in Antlers, OK. He was born in Lubbock, TX on August 15, 1956 to Lonnie Kevin Payton and Betty Jo Stewart.
Billy had been a resident of the Antlers area for 17 years. He enjoyed passing his time fishing and watching television. Billy was proud of his Choctaw heritage.
Billy is preceded in death by his father: Lonnie K. Payton; brother: Lathin D. "Buzzy" Payton and Jimmy Payton; sister: Linda J. Boland; grandparents: William and Caltha Payton, and Maggie and Ingram Stewart; niece: Heather Gilbert; nephew: Christopher Gilbert; and great niece: Alivia Gilbert.
He is survived by his wife: Bettie Jean Payton of the home; mother: Betty Jo Polson of Ada, OK; brother: Don W. Payton of Antlers, OK; sister: Twila V. Heidelberg and husband Steve of Ada, OK; and special cousins: David W. Payton of Texas, Bill Payton of Utah, and Kimmie Payton of Utah.
Private service will be held at a later date.
Services have been entrusted with Serenity Funeral Service of Antlers.
