Carolyn Elaine Meek

Carolyn Elaine Meek, age 86, of Antlers, Oklahoma, passed away on June 4, 2026. She was born on March 8, 1940, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, and lived a life marked by devotion, hard work, faith, and love for her family.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents: Earl and Mae Montgomery; and by her brothers: Charles Montgomery, Robert Montgomery, and Steven Montgomery.

She is survived by her husband: Henry Meek of the home; and her children: Edward Meek of Caddo, Oklahoma, and Robin and Ashley Butler of Nashoba, Oklahoma.

Carolyn spent her life serving others through her work and through the care she gave her family. In the early 1960s, she worked as the top processing cashier at Safeway in Oklahoma City, where her dedication and skill earned her several raises and opportunities to move to larger stores. From 1974 to 1977, she owned Carolyn’s Play School in Antlers, where she helped care for and guide young children with patience and kindness. Later, from 1985 until 2011, she and her husband, Henry, owned and operated Antlers Flower Shop and Meek’s Welding Supply, building a successful business together through years of steady effort and commitment.

Above all else, Carolyn was a devoted wife and mother whose family was her whole world. She was happily married to Henry for 66 years, and together they shared a very happy and successful life. After retirement, she continued to support him by assisting with all of his projects, always willing to lend a hand and make sure things were done right. She loved to cook, and her home was a place of warmth, care, and comfort for those she loved.

Carolyn was also a devout Christian who lived her faith each day. She taught her children that a relationship with the Lord was the most important relationship a person can ever have, and she led by example. Her faith was an important part of who she was and gave her comfort and purpose throughout her life.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at 10AM at the Serenity Funeral Service Chapel with Brother Ashley Butler and Stephen Poe officiating. Interment to follow at Caddo Gethsemane Cemetery in Caddo, OK.
