Chantay Fairless, aged 55, passed away in Tulsa, OK, on September 3, 2024. She was born on November 23, 1968, in Talihina, OK.
Her love for the outdoors was evident through her hobbies; hunting arrowheads and hiking were among her favorite pastimes. Chantay's adventurous spirit led her to travel extensively, eventually spending the last two decades in Oregon. She was immensely proud of her Choctaw heritage and loved keeping her hands busy doing beadwork. Chantay was an exceptional cook, and was passionate about her recipes and sharing her food with those she loved. Above all else, Chantay loved being a mother and grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Larry Fairless and Pauline "Polly" Johnson.
Chantay is survived by her children: Cholanda Ainsworth and husband Cavin of Fort Towson, OK, Chris Campbell and wife Cassie of Antlers, OK, and Amanda Austin and husband Chase of Soper, OK; brother: Wayland Fairless and wife Shayla of Watson, OK; significant other: Cliff Honn of Oregon: step-father: Doug Johnson of Idabel, OK; grandchildren: Jacob Ainsworth, Cody Ainsworth, Jaylee Campbell, Hadley Campbell, Tymber Campbell, Wyatt Austin, and Cole Austin; and niece and nephews: Ryland Fairless, Layla Fairless, Rowdy Fairless, and Eli Fairless.
A graveside service will be held on September 28, 2024 at 10AM at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Hatfield, AR.
Services have been entrusted with Serenity Funeral Service of Antlers, OK.
