Charles Edward Taylor, born on August 18, 1945, in Hugo, OK, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2023, in Bonham, TX.

Charles is survived by his loving wife of many years: Mary Jo (Wall) Taylor; his devoted son: Monty Taylor and wife Michelle of Calera, OK; sister: Linda Morse of Hugo, OK; grandchildren: McKenzie Atwell and husband Corey of Durant, OK, and Stormy Taylor and wife Madelin of Bells, TX; and great-grandchildren: Denim Atwell of Durant, OK, Stetson Taylor of Bells, TX, and Wrenlynn Taylor of Bells, TX. He is preceded in death by his parents: William Bryant Taylor and Virgie (Janoe) Taylor; brothers: Dean Taylor and Bill Taylor.

A proud veteran of the United States Army, Charles served as a Sergeant before transitioning into civilian life. His dedication to the community and hard work ethic led him to a successful career as a Direct office manager at Choctaw Electric Coop for over 23 years. Charles' contributions to his workplace and community will not be forgotten.

Throughout his life, Charles exemplified the values of honor, diligence, and devotion to his family and country. His presence will be deeply missed by those who had the pleasure of knowing him, and his memory will live on in the hearts and minds of his family, friends, and colleagues.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at 10AM at Victory Assembly of God in Rattan, OK.
