Charlette Ann Simonds, a kind, passionate woman, passed away peacefully on June 16, 2023, in Antlers, Oklahoma. Born on February 18, 1952, in San Antonio, Texas, she brought joy and love to the lives of everyone who knew her.
Charlette is survived by her loving children: Weldon Lofton and wife Sherrill of Antlers, Oklahoma, April Lofton and Mellissa Hopson of Antlers, Oklahoma, Don Lofton and wife Jeannie of San Angelo, Texas, Katrina Brown of Fayetteville, Tennessee and Michael Lofton of Dallas, Texas; sister: Pat Jarrett of San Antonio, Texas. Charlette was a proud grandmother to Taylor Pfaff and husband Dylan of Antlers, Katelyn Lofton of Antlers, Michael and Sequina Hunter of Antlers, and Jana Hunter of Tyler, Texas; great grandchildren: Brennan Pfaff and Stetson Pfaff; along with other relatives and friends..
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Phyllis (Hughes) Parma; husband, Roy Lofton; and sisters, Lorraine Nolden and Charlene Uhl.
Charlette was proud of her work as a Certified Nurses Aide at the Choctaw Nation Nursing Home, where she served her community for several years before her retirement. Her dedication and compassion for her patients were unmatched, as she was known for creating personalized songs for each of them, brightening their days and providing comfort and care. Her selflessness and passion are traits that were admired and will be remembered by her coworkers and patients alike.
An avid lover of the outdoors, Charlette cherished spending time with her family and her grandchildren. Her fondest memories were spent at the lake, enjoying the serenity and countless hours spent basking in nature's beauty. She was passionate about creating lasting memories with her loved ones, and her presence will continue to be felt by all who were lucky enough to experience her love and kindness.
A devout member of the Apostolic Tabernacle in Hugo, Oklahoma, Charlette's faith was a guiding force in her life. The friendship, love, and support she received from her church family provided her with solace and joy, helping her to navigate life's many challenges with grace and courage.
Funeral services for Charlette will be held 10 AM Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at the Serenity Funeral Service chapel in Antlers, Oklahoma with David Cahill officiating.
Pallbearers will include: Stacy Dennis, Dylan Pfaff, Matt Garrett, David Cahill, Jed Cahill and Weldon Lofton. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Lofton, Chris Lofton, Stephen Lofton and Roy Lofton.
Services are entrusted with Serenity Funeral Service in Antlers, Oklahoma.
