Charlie Hershel Nixon Obituary

Charlie Nixon, a cherished husband, father, brother, and grandfather, passed away on December 10, 2025, at the age of 74. He was born on February 10, 1951, in McAlester, Oklahoma to Cleo and Doris Nixon.

Charlie thrived in the great outdoors, taking pleasure in hunting, fishing, and any activity that got him outdoors. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of playing his favorite music, and escaping with a good movie. Charlie always looked forward to the Sooner football season, and cheering on his favorite team.

Known for his love of sports, two of his favorite accomplishments were his 2006 biggest buck contest victory and his hole-in-one at Antlers Springs Golf Course in 1996. While he may not have considered himself an avid golfer, that day on the green with his sons was one he recounted with joy throughout his life.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents: Cleo and Doris Nixon; and wife: Linda Nixon.

He is survived by his wife of twenty-three years: Milinda Nixon of Centerpoint, OK; children: Michael Nixon and wife Amy of Ann Arbor, Michigan, and Lee Nixon and fiancé Amy Garman of Calera, OK; Step-daughters: Tara Boren and husband Jackie of Crystal, OK, and Amanda Condren and husband Matt of Centerpoint, OK; brothers: Alvin Nixon and wife Billie of McAlester, OK, and Allen Nixon and wife Doris of McAlester, OK; and grandchildren: Sam Nixon, Avery Nixon, Hadley Nixon, Braxton Nixon, Callie Boren, Conner Boren, Amellia Condren, and Sawyer Condren.
