Cheryl Ann Prater, a woman of Baptist faith, was born January 21, 1949 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Mr. and Mrs. W.P. Faircloth. She passed away on August 14, 2024 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 75.

Cheryl grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas and moved to Ingleside, Texas in 1960. After marrying, her family then moved to Antlers, Oklahoma in 1979. The family fell in love with Antlers and made great friends here. Cheryl worked as a provider and CNA Aide. She dearly loved elderly people and their stories they would talk about. She also worked at E-Z Mart, Joe's Handy Stop, Choctaw Nursing Home, Antlers Nursing Home, and managed the Antlers Inn for several years. Cheryl was a hard worker to make a living for her children. She loved her children with all her heart.

Cheryl married Jimmy Prater on September 18, 1992. He was the love of her life. Jimmy passed away May 21, 2005.

Cheryl is survived by her daughters: Kimberly Murray and husband Tim of Soper, OK, and Sherri Covington of Tennessee; son: Jason Hunsucker; very special niece who Cheryl regarded as a daughter: Natalie White of Durant, OK; grandchildren: Wesley Hunsucker, Cameron Ludlow and wife Nicole, Trevor Ludlow, Rifle Murray, Brandon Wiggins, Bradley Covington, and Brandie Renee Wiggins; nephew Tommy Joe Sutterfield; 10 great-grandbabies; special friends that she always carried in her heart: Pat Cochran, Joy Felihkatubbe, Cheryl and Randall Frazier, Zetta Jordan, Steff Lynch, Jeanie Dillishaw, Nonia Petree, Hunter Simpson, Ian Conley, and Leonard Covington; sisters-in-law: Linda Faircloth and Linda Massey; as well as many beloved Faircloth and Diegel nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by Mr. and Mrs. W.P. Faircloth; two sons: Anthony Gene Wiggins and Kevin Hunsucker; sister: Nancy Diegel; brother: Junior Faircloth; niece: Denise Diegel; brother-in-law: Leonard Massey; and special friends: Paul White and Perry Felihkatubbe.

These were the last words she wanted to share with her family and friends:
