Christopher David Barrett, age 41, who was born on January 25, 1984, in Hugo, Oklahoma, and died at the age of 41 in his town of birth on January 13, 2026. 

Christopher, the son of David and the late Eva (Drinnon) Barrett, grew to be a man of resilience and joy. He married his loving wife, Carla Hendrix of Soper, Oklahoma. His legacy continues through his children, Christopher Frankie Barrett of Grant, Oklahoma, Christina Raines of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Jim Raines of Sawyer, Oklahoma. Christopher fully embraced his role as a stepparent, wholeheartedly loving his bonus children, Makayla White of Tishomingo, Oklahoma, and Travis Whitman of Klamath Falls, Oregon. His brothers, Timothy Harvey of Sawyer, Oklahoma, and Matthew Bennett of Soper, Oklahoma.

Christopher was graced with the joy of grandparenthood with his grandson Frankie Barrett and bonus granddaughter Freya White, both of whom brought immense joy and exuberance to his life. While he was preceded in death by his mother Eva Barrett, grandmother Carol Cockren, and aunt Caringann Murphy, his father David Barrett of Hot Springs, Arkansas, survives him, honoring his memory and cherishing the times they spent together.

A hardworking man, Christopher was employed as a security guard at a local car lot, where his diligence and commitment to safety were evident to all. His colleagues knew him as a dedicated worker, but also as a man who brought levity and friendship to the workplace.

Outside of work, Christopher harbored various hobbies that kept him content and connected to those he loved. He enjoyed working on electronics and cars, skills that he often shared with his family and friends. Many will remember the heartfelt moments spent sitting with Christopher by the fire pit, where he would Share life stories. His love for watching youtube shorts and playing on the Playstation provided him with hours of entertainment.  He will be missed by his family and all that knew him.
