Colton Ryan Perdue, passed away in Hugo, Oklahoma, on January 7, 2024, at the age of 24. Born on April 25, 1999, in Durant, Oklahoma.
Colton was a lifetime resident of the Hugo area who made a lasting mark with his approachable nature and personality. He was a beloved figure known for his infectious laugh, generosity of spirit, and dedication to his family. Every moment he could spare was spent outdoors, fishing, hunting, and mudding, or sharing precious time with his children, whom he loved dearly.
Colton is survived by: his precious children, Caylee Sienna Perdue, Ainslee Lanae Perdue, Rydlee Ryan Perdue; his cherished girlfriend, Veronica Allen; his devoted parents, Alisha and Gerald Shelton and Michael and Shannon Wheeler; his caring brother, Justin Wheeler; and his adoring sisters, Caylin Slocum and her husband Brandon, and Chrisslyn Perdue. His presence will also be greatly missed by his nieces and nephews, Matias Slocum, Meadow Slocum, Landon Hinsley, Kevin Slocum, and Averi Covington; along with other relatives and friends and a special thanks to Brandi Kisling.
Colton's grandparent, Cheryl Ann Jones and uncle, Jerry Dorries, preceded him in death.
Colton will be carried to his final rest by pallbearers Billy Greenwalt, Chris Motes, Devin Bartlett, Brandon Greenwalt, Matthew Greenwalt, and Jacody Horton, with his dear brother Justin Wheeler serving as an honorary pallbearer.
Services will be held on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 2PM at the Serenity Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will follow at Spencerville Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Serenity Funeral Service in Antlers, Oklahoma.
