On June 11, 2021 in Durant, Oklahoma, Damond Willie "Walks Softly" Baker passed from this life at the age of 39. He was born to Dana Earl Baker and Patricia Gayle Farquer on November 7, 1981 in Ada, Oklahoma.
Damond was of the Methodist faith. He loved the simple joys of life, and passed his time with art, music, and story telling.
Damond is preceded in death by his father: Dana "Sonny" Baker; grandparents: Rev. Johnson and Betty Baker; Aunt: Diana Austin; and cousins: Ben Austin and Felicia Austin.
He is survived by his long time companion: Cara Dawn Davies; mother: Patty Farquer; children: Sylvia Ruthann Gail, Cylas Christian Damond, and Trinity Julene Three Feathers; two brothers; 4 sisters; aunt: Nancy K Taylor of Antlers, Oklahoma; uncles: Robert J. Baker of Talihina, Raymond Dwight Austin of Antlers, Oklahoma; as well as numerous friends and relatives.
Services for Damond will be held on Friday, June 18, 2021 at 2PM at the Serenity Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Lucy Durant officiating.
Services have been entrusted with Serenity Funeral Service of Antlers, Oklahoma.
