Danny Berkey Obituary
Danny Ray Berkey, age 77, passed from this life on January 5, 2022. Danny was born on March 19, 1944 in Oklahoma City to Charles Newton Berkey and Fay Lee (Thomas) Berkey.
Danny lived a very simple life. You could always find him fishing on the banks of the Kiamichi River, Ten Mile, and in neighbors ponds. Danny enjoyed camping with family, catching snakes, and scaring everyone. Danny attended Moyers Public School and in 1960 received a perfect attendance certificate, after that he decided to quit school and joined the Navy.
Danny is preceded in death by his father and mother; brother Joe Berkey; and nephews Timmy Garman and Kim Bond.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories his daughter: Danyell Aaron and husband Kenny of Wilburton, sons Charles Berkey of Hubert, North Carolina, Danny Ray Berkey II and wife Flora of Purcell, OK; brother: Tommy Berkey and wife Melinda of Moyers, OK; sister: Carolyn Sue Berkey of Gleason, TN; sister in law: Margaret Berkey of Antlers; nine grandchildren; uncle Albert Henry Thomas of Muskogee, OK; nieces: Tamara Eastwood and husband Danny of Boswell, OK, Danael Sappington and husband Ron of Antlers, Mechelle Dennis and husband Tracy of Antlers, Gency Berkey of Purcell, OK; nephews: Michael Berkey of Moyers, OK and Doug Bond; many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Private services will be held at a later date.
Cremation services have been entrusted with Serenity Funeral Service and Serenity Cremations of Antlers, OK.
