Darrell John Maynard, age 67 years, passed from this life on August 22, 2022 at Alliance Health in Durant, OK.

Darrell was born on December 7, 1954 to Ruth Parker Maynard and Chester John Maynard in Antlers, OK. He was the oldest sibling of seven.

Darrell lived in Antlers, OK his entire life. He was a heavy equipment operator and owned Maynard's Dozer Services. Darrell had a passion for construction and dirt work. Over the years he worked on projects such as: Atoka Bypass, Hugo bypass, McGee Lake, Power Plant-Ft. Towson, and many others. He is known by his bright blue eyes, laughter, and joking. He had a loving heart and a tender soul.

He is survived by daughters: Stephanie Plew, Chassity Merimon, and Danielle Maynard; grandchildren: Josh Cravens, Michaela, Laney, and Emjay Plew, Bailey and Railey Coleman, Jack Merimon, Dallas Marsh, and Gabby Marsh; great-grandchildren: Emery Campbell, Wyatt Stoneking, Finlee Cannon, Nicholas and Dixon Kibby; mother: Ruth Maynard; siblings: Gerald Maynard and wife Judy, Debra Dolloff and husband Robert; Pam Grammer and husband Mark, Beth Carter and husband Boyd, Stephanie Miller and husband Terry Dean, Sam Maynard and wife Cathy and their families.

He was preceded in death by his father: Chester Maynard; grandparents: Robert John Maynard, Eunice Marie Maynard, Susan Duvilla (Roberts) Taylor and Samuel Parker.

Family night will be held August 25, 2022 at Serenity Funeral Service from 6-8PM. Funeral services will be August 26, 2022 at 2:00PM at First Baptist Church of Antlers, OK with Pastor Billy Hunter officiating.

Pallbearers include: Chris Louis, Clint Maynard, Jeremi Maynard, Forrest John Cave, Colton Maynard, TJ Maynard, and Joseph Maynard. Honorary pallbearers include: Danny Gregg, Rusty Gregg, Buddy Walls, Mike Moon, David Holaday, Johnny Beasley, Josh Cravens, Billy Kellett, and Ardy Watson.

Darrell will be deeply missed by family, friends, and those that knew him.
