David Lee Hendricks Obituary

David Lee Hendricks, of Spencerville, Oklahoma, passed away on October 6, 2024, at the age of 70. Born in Lovington, New Mexico, on September 30, 1954, David's journey was one marked by devotion to his family, his country, and his community.

A proud veteran of the US Marine Corps, David served his nation with honor. After his military service, he found joy and purpose, as well as the nickname Papa, during his time as an equipment operator for the County Barn, a job he held dear until his retirement.
David relished working on his property, spending precious time with his kids and grandkids, and unwinding with his favorite Western movies. He leaves behind a life full of stories and a circle of family and friends that will greatly miss his presence.
David is preceded in death by his father: Carl Hendricks, Sr.; brother: Carl Edward Hendricks, Jr.; and grandparents: Clarence and Ruby Watts.
He is survived by his wife: April Hendricks of the home; children: Michael Nichols and wife Candice of Spencerville, OK, Bradley Nichols of Wills Point, TX, and Carla Street and husband Jimmy of Princeton, TX; mother: Alice Marie Brown; brother: Michael Lynn Hendricks and wife DeAnn; sister: Carla Hendricks; grandchildren: Allison, Alexa, Phoenix, Hunter, and Hayzlyn; and great-grandchild: Christopher Moore.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024 at 2PM at the Serenity Funeral Service Chapel with honors provided by the United States Marine Corps.
Services are under the direction of Serenity Funeral Service of Antlers.
