David N. Phillips, a resident of Antlers, OK, passed from this life on May 22, 2024 at the age of 69. He was born to Henry Phillips and Geneva (Coffmen) Phillips on March 7, 1955 in Denison, TX. David was a proud veteran of the US Navy.

David married Joyce White on January 22, 1982 in Denison, and eventually moved to Antlers, OK where he worked for and retired from Pushmataha County District 1. He loved passing his time outdoors, fishing and camping. Above all else, David was a family man, who cherished his time spent with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Henry and Geneva Phillips; sisters: Naomi Smith, Minnie Faye Hammond, and Joyce Lee; and brothers: Robert Phillips and Bud Phillips.

David is survived by his wife: Joyce Phillips of the home; children: Steven Phillips and wife Shelby of Antlers, OK, and Sharon Cowart and husband Shawn of Gore, OK; brother: George Phillips and wife Helen of Antlers, OK; grandchildren: Jordan Blackburn, Drake Cowart, Copper Cowart, Jimmy Cowart, Jaden Phillips and husband Anthony Aguero; great grandchildren: Asher Aguero, AJ Aguero, Lezleigh Aguero, Adrian Aguero; honorary grandchild: Eric Neese; and honorary great-grandchildren: Matty Berry, Major Hamilton, and Jaidence Hamilton.

A memorial service will be held at 2PM on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at the Serenity Funeral Service Chapel with George Phillips officiating.
