David Wayne Walston, born April 3rd, 1968, in Conroe, TX, sadly passed away in Tulsa, OK, on October 29th, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer.

David will be remembered for his love of fishing when he was able to go, getting together at family gatherings, visiting, talking, and just catching up. David loved all his kids and grandchildren. He loved going to the movies with his grandchildren and nephew. David didn't meet a stranger, he loved to talk with everyone when he saw them in town.

He was predeceased by his father, Gerald "Pops" Walston.

David is survived by his wife: Sheila Thompson of the home; children; David Wayne Walston Jr. of Susanville, CA, Barbara Rochelle Lee Walston of West Sacramento, CA, Morgan Walston Coalgate, OK, Kyla Richardson of Coalgate, OK, Nathan Thompson "My Dogg" of Atoka, OK, and step-son River McDougal of Atoka, OK. He was a devoted grandfather to Joanna Gordillo Walston, Merello Martinez Walston, Miley Aleman Walston, and Cristina Aleman Walston, all of West Sacramento, CA, and Kutter Collis and Laelynn Christin Thompson of Atoka, OK; mother: Barbara Gann of Atoka, OK; brother: Gerald "Bubba" Walston; sister: Twana Walston; nephew: Jesse "Joe" Thompson; niece: Matty Mae "Sister" Thompson; as well as not only his sister-in-law, but a very special friend Tammy "Weezie" Thompson Wayman, and his mother- in-law Shirley Moses.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
