Dee (Daniels) Owens, 74, passed from this life on March 26th, 2020 in Farris, Oklahoma peacefully at her home. She was born May 9th, 1945 in Dallas, Texas to Clarence Edward Daniels and Della Mae Hearn.
Dee Dee married James Hayden "Cubby" Owens, August 8, 1960 in Madill, Oklahoma. She met Cubby in Dallas, Texas and moved to Farris, Oklahoma, where they lived happily for 50 years until his passing in 2011. Dee Dee had a career as a cosmetologist, and then became an LPN in 1982, then also became an EMT in 1984. She loved her family, gardening, flowers, fishing and being on the water boating. Most of all she loved caring for her grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
Dee Dee is preceded in death by both her parents: Clarence "Larry" Daniels and Della Mae Daniels Stone; sister: Nina Bogus; her husband James Hayden "Cubby" Owens; and daughter: Della Marie Owens.
She is survived by her children: Larry Owens and wife Margie Owens of Centerpoint, Oklahoma; Nina (Owens) Hunter of Farris, Oklahoma; Cliffton and wife Stephanie Owens of Farris, Oklahoma; brother: Vernon "Buddy" Slavens of Tompkinsville, Kentucky; sisters: Dorothy Pruitt of Grand Prairie, Texas, Zonia Heath of El Reno, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Joey Rowland, Leah Owens Emily Owens, Hannah Owens, Jesse Owens, Brandon Yates, Eric Hunt, Trinton Cathey, Stormy Cathey, Gunner Cathey, Sevens Robertson; great-granchildren: Paidin Hunt, Hadlynn Hunt, Logan Rowland, Hayleigh Rowland, Lilah Rowland, and Kamily Wilkins. Also special to Dee was her bonus family: Taylor Jordan and Charley Jordan; Ashley Dryden Hare, Kendall Dryden, Kimberly Dryden; and numerous nieces and nephews; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
