Delores Rosson Obituary

Delores Faye Rosson, a loving and wise matriarch, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2023, in Antlers, OK.

On July 18, 1935, in Lindsay, OK, Delores was born into the loving family of Lena and Douglas Gibson and enjoyed a close relationship with her sisters, Dorothy Rymel and Emma Bernice Sanders. She married the love of her life, William "Bill" Rosson on July 28, 1955, and together they built a life surrounded by love and laughter. Delores was preceded in death by her devoted husband Bill in 2015, her beloved son Donald Wayne Rosson, and her treasured grandson, Donnie Rosson.

Throughout her life, Delores was an active and dedicated mother to her surviving children, Ollie and Rodger Golden of Stillwater, OK, and Cynthia Rosson Davis of Antlers. She also welcomed a daughter-in-law, Lavenia Rosson, into the family with open arms. Through both joy and adversity, Delores's love and wisdom guided her family every step of the way.

Delores cherished her role as grandmother to Joey Rosson and wife Kari, Christina Golden, Reba Alsobrook, and Charles Alsobrook. Her heart swelled with pride as she watched her great-grandchildren Shaun Rosson, Parker Alsobrook, and Sophie Rosson grow. Delores's legacy of love will endure through her devoted family, who will carry on her memory with happiness.

A self-employed woman of exceptional work ethic, Delores ran Rosson Drywall with her husband Bill for many years. Their business was a testament to her determination and commitment to providing for her family. Residing in Antlers for over 60 years, Delores and Bill's strong presence in the community was a source of pride and admiration for the entire family.

Delores was immensely proud of her Choctaw heritage and found joy in celebrating her roots through her love for Native American beadwork. Her talents extended to crocheting, and she lovingly created many beautiful afghans that will continue to wrap her family in her love and warmth. Delores was a woman who appreciated the simple pleasures in life, such as adding treasured finds from yard sales to her home, enjoying meals at the senior citizens center, and even taking trips to the casino for a touch of excitement.

In times of both happiness and hardship, Delores was and will always be remembered as a symbol of strength and love. Her life was characterized by her unwavering care for her family. Delores's remarkable wisdom will forever inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her and experience her love.
