Diana Marie Burns was born in Roswell, New Mexico on October 8, 1950 to Charlie Ray Long and Freda (Wilson) Long. She passed from this life on June 25, 2025 in Antlers, Oklahoma, where she had resided for the last 13 years.
Diana loved spending her free time watching football, searching for antique treasures, and cooking delicious meals to enjoy with her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her father: Charlie Long; mother: Freda Long; and son: CJ Burns.
Diana is survived by her husband of 33 years: David Burns; children: Kelli Garcia of Antlers, OK, Kimberly and Brad Evans of Longmont, CO, and Amy and Clayton Pesek of Carlsbad, NM; brothers: Ray Long and spouse Cindy of Victorville, CA, and Rick Long of Apple Valley, CA; sisters: Karen Long-McAllister of Miami, OK, Tami Smith of Fulton, KY, Bobie Anderson of Lake Isabella, CA, and Janna McCallum of Sapulpa, OK; and grandchildren: Lindsay Miller, Brody Evans, Chloe Evans, Abby Evans, Tiege Briggs, Tristan Briggs, Aidyn Briggs, Cormac Pesek, and Reverie Pesek.
A graveside inurnment will take place on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at 10AM at the Antlers City Cemetery. The family requests donations to St. Jude’s Research Hospital, in lieu of flowers, at stjude.org
