Donald Leon Billy Obituary
Donald Leon Billy, was born January 18th, 1967 to Solomon and Margaret (Sharkey) Billy in Antlers Oklahoma. He left his earthly home of Rattan, Oklahoma on March 25th, 2026.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Memory Jade (Billy) Wilson; his sister, Geneva Ruth Billy; and his brothers, Robert Thomas, Darryl Wesley Billy and John Austin Billy; nieces, Amber Day and Aurora Pitman.
He is survived by his two sons, Branden Billy and Dyllan Billy and wife Megan; his grandchildren, Lauren Billy, Dustin Billy, Austin Billy, Mckynzi Billy, Noah Billy, Bellamy Billy, and Leah Billy; and numerous siblings: Jo Ellen and Carey Scroggins of Rattan, OK, David and Brookie Billy of Rattan, OK, Sol Billy Jr. of Rattan, OK, Camilla Day of Rattan, OK, Neil and Stormie Billy of Cloudy, OK, Justin and Gina Billy of Rattan, OK, Michael Billy of Rattan, OK, Jerry and Kelly Thomas of Corinne, OK, Yvonne Mogross of Paris, TX and Thomas Terrel. He also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
A lifelong resident of Rattan, Donald attended school there and later raised his family in the same community. Though he explored life beyond his hometown at times, he ultimately returned to the quiet comfort of his home on a rocky gravel dead end road in Rattan where leisure and shenanigans are known well.
Donald was known for his deep appreciation of the outdoors. From a young age, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing ball alongside his father and brothers. When introduced to horses, he then fell quickly in love, and riding became one of his greatest joys. He always sought a good time and carried a spirited enthusiasm for music, nature, and the simple pleasures of life. Above all, he treasured his grandchildren, who were his greatest source of pride.
Donald will be remembered for his generous heart, his ability to make others feel valued, and his warm habit of expressing love to those around him. His humor, playful personality, and gift for bringing joy to others left a lasting legacy. Always ready with quick wit and you would never know what to expect. He reminded others not to take life too seriously and found purpose in making people laugh. Most of us were given a nickname by him we weren’t so fond of, but Blackey was what he was fondly referred to over the years.
Many of us don’t take the time to reflect life and love daily like Donald, but he would be proud of us if we honored that legacy. His loved ones will find comfort knowing his parents were arm in arm to greet him at Heavens gate, while seeing the glory on his face meeting Jesus in his eternal home.
