Dorothy Jean Hindman was born to Paul Cleveland Hoover and Willie Lee (Nations) Hoover on April 17, 1943 in Mount Vernon, TX. She went to be with her Lord on June 15, 2025 in Antlers, OK at the age of 82.
Dorothy was a devoted woman of God and a member of the First Assembly of God of Antlers where she was part of the church prayer group. She held several jobs throughout the years, including Sears, Antlers Florist, Farmers Exchange Bank and Antlers First Bank. She also worked at Southwestern Bell in Dallas, TX as a operator #105 from 1961 to 1966.
She is preceded in death by her husband: Billy Jack Hindman; father: Paul C. Hoover; and mother: Willie Lee Hoover.
Dorothy is survived by her son: Shane Duane Hindman and wife Ronda; sister: Paulette Sandefer and spouse: Ira Lee; grandchildren: Dillon Paul Hindman and spouse Lindsey; and Shanda Makerney and spouse John; and great-grandchildren: Nolan Paul Hindman, Archer Duane Makerney, Ellie Jean Hindman, Silas Martin Hindman, and Ariel Alliene Makerney.
A family night will be held from 5-7PM on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at the Serenity Funeral Service Chapel. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, June 19, 2025 at 2PM at the Antlers First Assembly of God with Gary Mitchell officiating. Pallbearers are: Mike Wallace, Barry Savage, Dillon Hindman, John Makerny, Ricky Piggott, and Zack Mitchell. Interment will follow at Antlers City Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Serenity Funeral Service of Antlers.
