Douglas Charles James left this life on January 16, 2020 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born October 29, 1958 in Antlers, Oklahoma to Samuel and Bessie Lou Jones. Douglas was a resident of Ada, Oklahoma for many of his adult years.
Douglas enjoyed picking up cans, raking leaves, picking on people and telling jokes. He loved to be the life of the party. He never met a stranger and enjoyed life in general. Douglas had a love for soda and snacks of all kinds. His all-time favorite was peanut butter. Douglas enjoyed having conversations and spending time with his roommate Bob. He was loving, kind, always willing to help someone and never passed up a meal.
Douglas is preceded in death by his mother: Bessie Lou (James) Jones; father: Samuel Emerson Jones Sr.; and sister: Essie Jones.
Douglas leaves behind his step-mother: Sharon (Miller) Jones of Arkansas; sisters: Wanda Saathoff and husband Casey of Hugo, Oklahoma, and DeCarol Scott of Killeen, Texas; brothers: Curtis Jones of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Ralph Jones and wife Nita of Moyers, Oklahoma, Jonathon Jones of Oklahoma City , Oklahoma, Sammy Jones Jr. and wife MaiLynn of Antlers, Oklahoma, and Paul Jones of Antlers, Oklahoma, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 25, 2020 at the Antlers Church of Christ in Antlers, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Antlers City Cemetery in Antlers, Oklahoma.
Services entrusted to Rogan Funeral Home in Hugo, Oklahoma.
