Douglas Standridge Obituary

Douglas Standridge, 83, passed from this life in Lockesburg, Arkansas on July 24, 2022. He was born in Antlers, Oklahoma on November 12, 1939 to Carl Standridge and Lona Lee (Earnest) Standridge.

Doug loved finding interesting things and good deals while exploring flea markets, and he was an avid rock collector. Above all else he loved spending time with his family and aggravating Shorty.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Carl and Lona Standridge; son: Carl Standridge; sisters: Linnie Lynn, Fay Conley, Ann Steely, Betty Hall, and Loretta Poston; brothers: Elton Standridge and Billy Standridge; grandson: Anthony Flatt; and best friend: Martha Shirley.

Doug is survived by his children: Loretta Calhoun of Minneapolis, MN, Patricia Tillman of Ringold, OK, Theresa Smart and husband Keith of Lockesburg, AR, and Tina Broderson of Lockesburg, AR; stepsons: Robert Shores of Antlers, OK and John Cheauteau of Antlers, OK; special friend: Janette Shores; brother: Carl Standridge; sister: Sherry Clark; as well as eleven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and numerous relatives and friends.

A family night will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2022 from 6-7PM at Serenity Funeral Service. Funeral will take place on Friday, July 29, 2022 at 3PM in the Serenity Funeral Service Chapel with George Pigg officiating. Pallbearers include: Keith Smart, Douglas Flatt, Garrett Broderson, Christopher White, Alex White, and Kevin Deupree. Honorary pallbearers include: Carl Standridge, John Cheauteau, and Stanley Clark. Interment to follow at Antlers City Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Serenity Funeral Service of Antlers, OK.
