It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Edward Dale Miller, whom most of all knew him by Uncle Ed. He left us peacefully on the morning of May 5, 2025 after a courageous battle with illness. He was surrounded by love, having left this earth knowing just how deeply he was cherished.
To know Uncle Ed was to love him. He was the kind of man who made you feel like family the moment you met him-a loyal friend, a steady presence, and someone you could always count on without question. His unwavering work ethic, selflessness, and strength were surpassed only by his goodness and generosity.
Uncle Ed was more than just an uncle; he was truly one of our best friends and the heart of our family. He held us together with quiet strength and unshakeable love, always putting others before himself. Being loved by him was one of life's greatest privileges.
Though we mourn his loss deeply, we find peace in knowing that his suffering has ended. We take comfort in the thought of him reunited with his beloved dad, perhaps enjoying a formidable game of poker, while the music of Gary Stewart plays on in the heavens in his honor.
He leaves behind a family that adored him, friends who were honored to know him, and a legacy of love, loyalty, and laughter that will live on in all of us.
Services will be held at Nolia Cemetery in Nashoba, Oklahoma on Sunday, May 11th at 2 p.m. Pallbearers include Jay Miller, Brody Miller, Dylan Means, Jamie Means, Ethan Reno, and Mike McKnight. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Uncle Ed by sharing a story, raising a glass, or helping someone in need-just as he would have done.
Services are under the direction of Serenity Funeral Service of Antlers, Oklahoma.
