Eldon Harrison Bruce, a lifelong Little River Valley resident, passed away at his home on May 9, 2026 at the age of 85. He was born on August 30, 1940 in Nashoba, Oklahoma to Wesley Prettyman Bruce and Matilda Jane (Gee) Bruce.
Eldon was a member of Christ Church of Nashoba, and served on the Nashoba Volunteer Fire Department. He was a jack of all trades and spent his time working on anything mechanical, especially V8 engines. Eldon enjoyed being part of the Hot Rod Community and Little River Valley Speedway.
He is preceded in death by his wife: Nora Nell (Fennell) Bruce; parents: Wesley P. Bruce and Matilda Jane Bruce; and siblings: Sarah Isabell Wilson, Juanita Jane Allen, Francis Bruce, Otis Bruce, Olen Bruce, Loyal Bruce, Leonard Bruce, Rosebud Minyard, Leona McKaughan, and Becky Brown.
Eldon is survived by his daughter: Sandi Bruce of Nashoba, Oklahoma; sister: Faye Thomas of New Mexico; grandchild: Sheldon Weathers of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and great-grandchildren: Gracee Weathers of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Paizlee Weathers of Elizabeth, Colorado.
Funeral services will take place at 2PM on Friday, May 15, 2026 at Nolia Cemetery in Nashoba with Brett Hammons and Bryce Hammons officiating.
Services are under the direction of Serenity Funeral Service of Antlers.
