Emma Jean Higginbottom Obituary

Emma Jean Higginbottom of Boswell, Oklahoma, entered Heavens Gates on December 2, 2025 at the age of 78 after a long battle with cancer.

Emma was born on March 4, 1947 in Boswell, Oklahoma. She married David Higginbottom on June 1, 2000 and they shared their life together 25 years.

Emma's priority was God and her church. She was a very faithful servant in New Life Church in Antlers, Oklahoma.

She made her world peaceful by surrounding herself with a beautiful garden of roses and an array of different flowers. She also enjoyed growing vegetable gardens and canning food to share with all her family and friends. Every year at Christmas we couldn't wait for our box of homemade delicious chocolates and candies from Aunt Essie.

She was an entrepreneur and a successful business lady which included owning a Farmers Insurance Agency in Plano, Texas. She was also a designer and owned an elite Wedding Event Center in Lubbock, Texas where she designed "Miss Texas" wedding dress.

She was blessed with many talents and touched the lives of many with her kindness and unconditional love. She left behind many precious memories and an unforgettable story of her life that will live forever in our hearts.

She was preceded in death by her daughter: Cristy Martin; son: Dwain Martin; brothers: Eugene Cheek and Benjamin Cheek; father: Hubert Eugene Cheek; and mother: Laura Cheek.
