Eunice Fern (Talley) Holloway Obituary

The legacy of Eunice Fern Holloway began on February 20th, 1935 in Darwin, Oklahoma. She took her first breath in her new heavenly home on August 10th, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.

In the early years of Eunice's life her passion was basketball. She held the single game scoring record for Antlers High School for decades! She was still upset that it was broken because she played before the three point line existed. Eunice graduated from Antlers High School in 1953 and two years later married the love of her life, Gene Holloway. She accompanied her husband to Texas for 10 years before moving back to Antlers. Along with raising her five daughters, she began leading worship which would be the beginning of a wonderful journey for many years of her life. She would then start an in home daycare. Soon all of the children would start to call her Mammy, the name that was given to Eunice by her granddaughter Christi. This would eventually become the name Eunice was famous for.

Eunice was known for her bubbly, happy, joyful, spirit, her love for everyone she met and her ability to make even a stranger feel like a friend. She told everyone about Jesus and led many people to the lord.

She made all she came in contact with feel special. She loved going to church, playing moon and scrabble, and traveling. Her favorite show was wheel of fortune! She also enjoyed Christian music and Christian television. The main love of her life was her savior Jesus and her family. Being anywhere her children and grandchildren were was always her greatest joy.

She is preceded in death by her wonderful husband Gene Holloway, her loving granddaughter Christi Kubilis, her parents Leonard J. and Lola Talley, her four brothers Alvin Talley, Allen Talley, Donald Joe Talley, and her five sisters Ruth Winkle, Romona Webb, Hazel Church, Leona McArthur, and Odessa Dunham.
