Faye Cox, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully in Shawnee, Oklahoma, on September 16, 2023. Born in Broken Bow, Oklahoma, on November 11, 1927, to Selton Jones and Rosie Folsom-Louis, Faye lived a life filled with love, kindness, and service to others.
Faye was a woman of deep faith and unwavering love for her family. She was a devoted wife, marrying the love of her life, Lonnie Cox, in Hugo, Oklahoma. Together, they built a beautiful family and a home filled with warmth and laughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Cox, her first husband: Silas Louis Sr.; her parents, Selton Jones and Rosie Folsom-Louis, her brother, Joe Goins, her sister, Katherine San Augustine, and her children, Patricia Faye Louis and Lonnie Earl Cox.
Faye is survived by her children, Silas Louis Jr. and his wife Candy of Antlers, Oklahoma, and Melinda Webb and her husband Steven of Shawnee, Oklahoma. She was a doting grandmother to Ashley Adams and her husband Kelby of Durant, Oklahoma, Brittany Leach and her husband Thomas of Shawnee, Oklahoma, and Colby Webb of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Christopher Louis and Anna Faye Louis. Faye was also a proud great-grandmother to Emilia Leach, Joshua Leach, Hazel Adams, and Micah Adams. She was also survived by a host nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Faye was a woman of many interests. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as cooking and serving others, which she did with great love and generosity. She was known for her delicious meals and the joy she took in feeding those she loved. Faye also enjoyed solving puzzles, a pastime that kept her mind sharp and her spirit lively. She was a devout Christian who cherished reading her Bible and singing Choctaw hymns. Her faith was a guiding force in her life, and she instilled its values in her children and grandchildren.
Those who knew Faye will remember her as a loving and thoughtful woman. She had a heart full of kindness and a spirit full of grace. Her love for her family was immeasurable, and she always put their needs before her own. Faye's thoughtfulness extended beyond her family, touching the lives of everyone she met. She had a way of making people feel special and loved, a quality that will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Family night will be Tuesday September 19, 2023 at Serenity Funeral Service from 5-7 PM.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM Wednesday September 20, 2023 at Serenity Funeral Service in Antlers, Oklahoma with Brent Franks officiating. Interment to follow at Antlers City Cemetery.
