Fleeta Mae Whiteside, a li9felong resident of Southeast Oklahoma, passed from this life on September 5, 2025 in McAlester, Oklahoma at the age of 91. She was born in Farris, Oklahoma on August 6, 1934 to WK Bell, Sr. and Odessa (Selby) Bell. 

Fleeta married Warren Whiteside in 1954 in Farris, Oklahoma. She worked many years as a social worker, helping the families of Pushmataha County before her eventual retirement. Fleeta was grounded in her Baptist faith.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband: Warren Whiteside; parents: WK and Odessa Bell; and siblings: Harold Bell, Gerald Bell, Mickey Bell, Thomas Bell, WT Bell, and Vona L. Brannon.

Fleeta is survived by her sons: Joey W. Whiteside and Kurt P. Whiteside; and brother: WK Bell, Jr.

A private service will be held.
