Fred Leon Fomasi, a cherished husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away on January 13, 2025, in Tulsa, OK, at the age of 69. Fred, born on February 18, 1955 in Ukiah, CA, lived a full life marked by love, service, and the joy of simple pleasures.
Fred honorably served in the United States Navy before embarking on a career as a distribution clerk with the US Postal Service. His dedication and work ethic were only matched by his commitment to his family and his infectious love for life. He had a passion for singing, a pastime that brought joy to those around him. Fred was an avid fisherman and found great contentment on the water. Family vacations were a highlight for Fred, serving as treasured moments that bound the family together with shared experiences and laughter.
He leaves behind his spouse: Nancy Fomasi of Antlers; son: Jonathon Fomasi of Antlers, OK; sisters: Rosemary McKenzie, Lena Britton, and Rena Grayson and husband Tim; brothers and sisters-in-law: Kilgour Boggs and Deborah Boggs, Dewayne Boggs and Holly Boggs, and Bobby Gardner and Jewell Gardner. Fred also leaves a legacy among his numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his mother: Lavina Fomasi; father: Clement Fomasi; brother: Jimmy Ray; and his son: Andrew Jason Fomasi.
Fred's memory will be cherished, and his melody will echo in the hearts of those who loved him forever.
A family night will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 5-7PM at Serenity Funeral Service of Antlers. A celebration of Fred's life will take place on Friday, January 17, 2025 at 3PM at the Victory Assembly of God in Rattan, OK with Pastor Jonathon McDaniel officiating.
