Gale Donica Obituary
Gale Donica went to be with his Lord on November 14, 2022 at the age of 82. He was born on April 5, 1940 in Nashoba, OK to Quartermane Donica and Mary (Stewart) Donica.
Gale was proud to have been the groundskeeper at the University of Oklahoma for over 20 years, and thoroughly enjoyed watching the Sooners play football. He stayed true to his Southeast Oklahoma roots, and remained an avid hunter and fisher throughout his life. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching Westerns and Thunder Basketball. Gale was a loving father and grandfather, who cherished time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Quartermane and Mary Donica; and brother: Dr. Thomas Marion Donica.
Gale is survived by his children: Norvel Ray Donica, Gaila Lou Forrest and spouse Bruce Williams, Charles Omar Donica and spouse Gina Donica, Matthew Donica, and Sarah Beth Donica; brothers: Raymond Donica, and Dwight Donica and spouse Betty; sister: Alberta "Chloe" Donica; grandchildren: Dakota Forrest, Donica Forrest Avant, Clint Avant, Kethry Donica, Makayla Futrell, Dustin Donica, Trina Donica, Mariah Donica, and Joshua Donica; and great-grandchildren: Sadi Futrell, Axel Avant, Brylee Avant, and Eli Avant.
Funeral will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at 1PM at the Christ Church Nashoba. Interment will follow at Nolia Cemetery.
Services have been entrusted with Serenity Funeral Service of Antlers, OK.
