Gary Lynn Rudder "Bear" was born to Joe Earl and Trelma Maxine (Price) Rudder in Antlers, Oklahoma on July 29, 1956. He passed from this life on September 13, 2024 in Sherman, Texas at the age of 68.

Bear had a great love for the land and spent most of his life toiling the soil. His deep respect for nature was evident in his dedication to farming, ranching, and tending his garden. Bear loved being able to cook delicious meals with things he had harvested.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Joe Rudder and Trelma Rudder; brother: Terry Rudder; and daughter: Katrina Ilene Rudder.

Bear is survived by his daughter: Christina Sharp; baby sister: Susie Dimsdle; grandchildren: Valerie Mack, Jamie Jones, Bubba Sharp, Justiss Sharp, Tessa Sharp, and Courtney Sharp; and nephews: Jerald Rudder, Weldon Rudder, Austin Rudder, James Hill, and Jacob Hill; as well as numerous friends and family members.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at 2PM at Spencerville Community Church. Interment will follow at Rattan Cemetery. Pallbearers include: Jerald Rudder, Weldon Rudder, Jerry Dimsdle, James Hill, Jake Hill, and Austin Rudder. Honorary pallbearers are: Bill Hedge, Johnny Baze, Kyle Armstrong, and Kenny Cogburn.

Services are under the direction of Serenity Funeral Service of Antlers.
